About the event
Service Members and civilians alike are invited to report for duty in Downtown Morehead City for an evening celebrating Harrier heritage and the Crystal Coast military community. The event is part of the US Marine Corps official Sundown Celebration of the Harrier jump jet, in service for more than 40 years.
Sundown Downtown guides you and your co-pilots on a foot-powered-flight along the Patriot Path where you'll enjoy special offers at shops and restaurants while accomplishing your main mission: to check in with each military-focused nonprofit and veteran-owned business along the Patriot Path.
Begin at Sundown headquarters, the Train Depot (1001 Arendell Street) and receive your official flight plan highlighting all of the check points along the Patriot Path. "Fuel up" on some Harrier history, local beer and wine samples, and enjoy live music from Donivan Carter.
This celebration is open to the public and free to attend. Food and beverages are available for purchase at check points along the way. This event is hosted by the Carteret County Chamber of Commerce. For more info:
