2023 RASP Training

Downtown Morehead City, Inc. is hosting a FREE training course of the Responsible Alcohol Selling Program on Wednesday, May 24th from 5:30-7:00pm at the Train Depot in downtown Morehead City.

This course is a requirement for anyone who volunteers to check ID's or sell/serve alcohol for events, like DMC's Alive at Five Concert Series, the Big Rock Tournament, NC Seafood Festival, etc. Certifications are valid for two (2) years, but we recommend attending this training annually to ensure you are up to date with the latest rules and regulations from the NC ABC Commission.

The session open to anyone! Please spread the word with your friends, colleagues, and volunteer networks.

The Education Outreach section of the NC ABC Commission conducts responsible alcohol server/seller training programs (RASP) for both on-premise and off-premise business owners/managers/employees at no cost. This hands-on style live class lasts 2 hours and utilizes video, and open discussions to cover the following topics:

-Prevention of sales to underage persons and intoxicated persons -Acceptable forms of identification and how to spot fake/altered IDs -Dram shop laws, happy hour laws, hours of sale, and other laws -How to protect your business, protect the public, and protect yourself
