The Historic Train Depot

Morehead City Train Depot Renovation is Completed!

On December 11, 2003, the nearly 100 year-old Train Depot was moved from S. 6th Street to the corner of S.10th and Arendell streets. This renovated structure is now available for use by the public as a meeting and reception space. This is also the home of the DMCRA. In December 2008, a vintage-style railroad clock was installed outside on the northeast corner, a gift commemorating the 2008 Morehead City Sesquicentennial Celebration. Improvements continue.

Fishwalk

Come downtown and check out the FishWalk!

A series of clay bas relief sculptures depicting fish native to our coastal waters  can be found scattered along the downtown streets. When completed, the project will include 25 pieces of artwork. Additional sponsorships are still available. For more information contact the DMCRA office.
